Rudy J. Bautista
Expresses support for the job the police do and dismisses claims that police violence and racial discrimination are a major problem in Utah, while recognizing that the problem is not non-existent. Supports prosecuting cops who are found to have broken the law in their interactions with the public. Suggests forming a committee dedicated to investigating accusations of police malfeasance. Supports enforcing existing drug trafficking laws to address the drugs coming up through the I-15, but criticizes that he thinks the police, sometimes, are targeting out-of-state plates in an inappropriate way. Expressed that he did not support mask mandates and some other COVID-19 measures, on constitutional grounds.
