Jesse M. Luera
Norwalk city councilman running for re-election in March 2011.
Apparently there was a Mexican Independence Day 9/11 issue in 2010, but the media coverage was limited and all I can get is Google caches of the articles. I should like to find more details on that.[1] It does seem odd to schedule a celebration of Mexican Independence on a day which would normally focus on American patriotism. I can't imagine the city was unaware that this might be found offensive. What kinds of scheduling issues were there? Is this a regular thing? What were some thoughts from the council?
